Expecting is the road to failure

To explore new land, escaping the sights of men who lost their mind in a war they could never handle. So, little soldier man please do not map out my way, for I will find my steps. Expect me to make a wrong turn, or even take a step back. Except the worst, as it seems you do. And I’ll show you an expectation that will put Armstrong to shame because I only reach for stars.
You ignorantly judge a boy who has lost the will to love.
He is a disappointment though, it’s only natural to be ashamed.
So, let us continue to scorn. He must not be so pathetic.
Boy, you are no man. Boy, you are not my son. Boy, you are a monster.
Boy, you will change the hearts of demons, and give sight to the blind.
Boy, you will give life, and see the world bloom.
Boy, I expect great things from you. You just need to stop wasting time.

Eclipse

Amongst a circle of love, I contemplate if you are proud of me.
Laying in a frost, crushed with the sound of laughter.
I have lost the strength to speak in a language I’m so accustom to.
I’m such a fool, with an idiotic tongue.
I’m done trying to break away.
So, just embrace my lungs and give me the power of speech.
